Technical Tip | Brief shutdowns during electric wire saw operation? It’s actually sending you a reminder!

Jul 08,2026

If the electric wire saw shuts down during traveling, does that necessarily mean it's a quality issue?

During the operation of an electric wire saw, brief intermittent shutdowns may occur. This is not a quality issue with the equipment, but rather a built‑in low‑battery warning mechanism. When the remote control battery voltage drops below the normal operating threshold, the system actively triggers a protective disconnection to remind the operator that it is time to replace the batteries. Ignoring this signal can not only lead to frequent interruptions in the cutting process, but also cause additional current surges to the frequency converter and motor due to repeated start‑stop cycles, which may adversely affect the equipment's service life over the long term.

Daily maintenance recommendation: Before each shift, use a multimeter to check the remote control's no‑load voltage (it should not be lower than 12.2 V), and keep a spare set of fresh batteries on the machine. Do not let a small battery delay the progress of your entire production line.
